GPS Tracking

GPS Tracking offers an advanced solution for monitoring and managing critical assets and logistics processes on a large geographical scale. By integrating various localization technologies, it is possible to continuously and reliably track an asset both indoors and outdoors. Through NB-IoT technologies, these devices can connect to the cellular network to transmit data without additional infrastructure.

Thanks to our IoT platform, Thinkin enables companies to optimize supply chain visibility, improve safety, and reduce operational costs. The solutions are designed for long battery life and to incorporate advanced features such as environmental condition monitoring and operational parameter tracking.

This technology represents a fundamental pillar for the management of fleets, logistics, and supply chains, offering a complete and always up-to-date view.

Low energy consumption

Extremely energy-efficient, with a battery life of up to 10 years and very low maintenance requirements.

Flexibility

Thanks to NB-IoT communication and the ability to track assets both indoor and outdoor, GPS tracking is a solution that can be easily applied to many industrial scenarios, without the need for complex installations or additional infrastructure.

Robustness and precision

The devices are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and ensure reliable tracking even in the most extreme situations. Additionally, the Thinkin platform enables remote management of the devices, providing complete control of the system.

Indoor and Outdoor Localization

Tracking devices can be localized both indoors and outdoors, with accuracy levels varying depending on the specific application scenario.

  • Outdoor localization:
Based on GPS technology for open-space tracking with an accuracy of a few meters.

  • Zone-level localization (RSSI):
For indoor environments where high precision is not required.

  • Indoor localization:
With sub-meter accuracy for precise tracking in indoor spaces.

How does GPS Tracking work?

  • Position Detection
Tracking devices detect the position using GPS for outdoor environments or through alternative technologies such as Wi-Fi scanning and cell tower positioning for indoor environments. This approach ensures precise and reliable localization across a wide range of scenarios.

  • Data TransmissionThe information collected by the devices is transmitted via cellular networks (NB-IoT or LTE-M), leveraging existing infrastructure. This technology ensures connectivity even in challenging environments and reduces energy consumption, extending battery life.

  • Data Analysis and Visibility
The data is processed by the Thinkin platform, which provides an interactive dashboard for real-time monitoring of asset location and conditions. Automatic notifications alert users to events such as tampering, changes in environmental conditions, or suspicious movements.

NB-IOT

NB-IoT is a data transmission standard designed for IoT devices, leveraging existing mobile networks (LTE and GSM). It uses a narrow radio band (200 kHz) to support IoT use cases, ensuring:

  • Extended Coverage:
Reliable connectivity even in enclosed spaces and over long distances.

  • Optimized Bandwidth:
Coexistence of multiple networks without interference.

  • Strong Signals:
Ability to penetrate obstacles such as walls and thick surfaces.

  • Energy Efficiency:
Low power consumption, with battery life lasting several years.

  • Reduced Costs:
Less complex and more affordable devices.

  • Advanced Security:
Encryption, secure authentication, and data protection.

NB-IoT is the ideal solution for scalable and reliable IoT applications.

Bluetooth Gateway con TAG e sensori

Digital Matters tracking devices integrate Bluetooth sensors to monitor the environmental and operational conditions of transported goods, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Environmental Monitoring and Cold Chain:
High-precision temperature and humidity sensors can be installed on trucks, freezers, or sensitive packages.

  • Transportation Condition Monitoring:
Advanced sensors detect impacts, vibrations, or high forces, sending alerts in case of improper handling of high-value goods or hazardous materials.

  • Opening/Closing Monitoring:
Bluetooth tags with magnets or light sensors detect the opening and closing of doors, signaling any tampering or irregularities.

This technology provides complete control over the conditions of transported goods, enhancing safety and traceability.
