Location-based services

Thinkin provides location-based services based on real-time location data to make indoor spaces interactive and responsive.

By monitoring the position and movement of objects and people, Thinkin creates a real-time snapshot of what is happening within the physical space.

Moreover, thanks to a set of rules (business rules or triggers), it is possible to trigger predefined events, such as notifications and alarms.

Smart Automation

It reduces operational complexity through automatic notifications and optimized processes based on location data.

Customization and Scalability

Adaptable to various industries and scenarios, from warehouses to large manufacturing plants, ensuring a customized configuration.

Total Integration

LBS integrate seamlessly with business systems such as ERP, MES, and WMS, centralizing the management of operations.

How does it work?

  • Location Data Collection

Location data is gathered from BLE tags, UWB, or GPS devices installed on assets, people, or vehicles.

  • Analysis and Contextualization

The collected data is processed in real-time by the ThinkIN platform, which associates the location with operational events (e.g., goods movement, entry into critical areas, completion of tasks).

  • Service Delivery

Based on the processed data, ThinkIN offers advanced features such as automatic notifications, optimized routing, controlled access, and customized reports.

Just as GPS has changed the way we experience outdoor spaces, indoor location-based services will enable the activation of new services accessible via mobile devices. Indoor navigation, product and location searches, new opportunities in gaming or gamification scenarios, and the ability to receive assistance wherever we are—these are just a few examples of how geo-localization will drive new services on mobile devices, undoubtedly leading to significant impacts in terms of innovation and efficiency.

ThinkIN® facilitates the integration of indoor positioning data through a rich set of APIs and dedicated services, with the goal of transforming indoor positioning data into a service commodity. Third parties, such as solution providers or system integrators, can easily and quickly add context to existing application scenarios, starting from the location of objects and people.

ThinkIN® devices not only track the position of a specific object but also collect environmental data such as temperature, pressure, or detect specific events such as door openings or presence in a specific area. By linking the Internet of Things (IoT) with indoor geolocation, it becomes possible to monitor production environments, offices, and stores with an additional layer of detail, improving quality control of processes and preventing risk situations or anomalies.

Use Cases of Location-Based Services

  • Indoor Navigation

Guides personnel within complex environments, such as warehouses or production facilities, providing precise directions to the location of goods, tools, or areas of interest.

  • Access Control

Ensures security by monitoring and restricting access to sensitive or high-risk areas, triggering notifications for unauthorized access.

  • Operational Support

Automates tasks such as picking and reordering, sending real-time instructions to operators and reducing manual errors.

  • Location-Based Notifications

Sends contextual alerts (e.g., "replenish a specific area," "complete a task") based on the location and current activity of operators or assets.

With Location-Based Services, companies can optimize processes, improve efficiency, and ensure security by using solutions based on real-time location data.
