Tigros S.p.A. is an Italian company that has been active in the retail sector since 1979. Thus far, it has a nationwide presence with 72 stores with an average of about 1,500 square metres.


One of the challenges the chain faces concerns efficient management of the checkout barrier, which is the last step in the customer's journey, especially the one that the customer will remember the most about the in-store experience.

This turns out to be particularly critical for Tigros, where the stores are characterised by a rather compressed checkout barrier that can cause above-average waiting times, especially given the daily high traffic of its stores.
